With vivid colour and dramatic impact “Growing Up Jewish - Art and Storytelling” is a series of paintings exploring Kott-Wolle’s North American brand of Jewish identity and how it evolved through five generations of her family. Informed by the experiences of her parents and grandparents who arrived in Canada after the Holocaust, the artist reflects on how her forebears faced the enormous task of starting over.
